Who handles your information?
North Mettle is responsible for the information you share through this website. For questions or requests about your personal information, contact bram@northmettle.com.
What we collect and why
When you enquire, we receive your name, email address, business name, website address if provided, and message. We use these details to respond, discuss a potential project and prepare a proposal. Please avoid including sensitive personal information.
We process enquiries to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and use our legitimate interests to manage business correspondence and prevent abuse. Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Service providers
Netlify hosts this website and processes enquiries through Netlify Forms. Submissions are stored in our Netlify dashboard, and email notifications go to our inbox at bram@northmettle.com, which uses Google Workspace. These providers process information needed to host the site, deliver messages and protect their services. They may process data outside the UK or EEA under their own safeguards.
For details of Netlify’s processing, see its privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
Security and retention
The website uses HTTPS. The form validates required details and uses a hidden honeypot field with Netlify’s spam filtering to help prevent automated submissions. We retain enquiry correspondence for as long as needed for the enquiry and related business administration, normally up to 12 months if no project follows. Project records may need to be kept longer for contractual or accounting reasons.
Cookies and analytics
We do not add advertising cookies, analytics trackers or a mailing-list subscription to this website. Essential security mechanisms used by our hosting providers may operate to protect the service. There is no optional tracking to enable, so the site does not need an optional-cookie consent banner.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction or deletion of your data, object to processing or ask for processing to be restricted. Contact us using the address above. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, including the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (opens in a new tab).
